New planters have arrived for St John’s Garden and Friendly Gardens!
As part of Greening Fund applications from both Friends of Friendly Gardens and St John’s Society (St John’s Garden), both parks, situated in St John’s have acquired beautiful planters filled with excellent compost and an array of plants. Glendale have dropped these off and wonderful volunteers, from the residents of St John’s, have taken over the planting. Thank you so much.
This is the second application for funding for these open spaces that St John’s Society and Friends of Friendly Gardens have been successful in getting. The first, brought us the new benches, sign and bins to St John’s Garden. We are also awaiting new playground equipment for Friendly Gardens which we hope very much will arrive in 2023 to replace what had been there before with a renewed surface. We also hope that some of the funding will provide us with a trim trail.
