Please be aware that there are impending changes to the timetable at St Johns station coming into effect from 11th December.  This will mean Hayes services will be routed to Charing Cross and no longer stop at New Cross or St Johns, effectively meaning the loss of our Hayes services.  See the announcement on Southeatern’s website regarding the new timetables:

https://www.southeasternrailway.co.uk/travel-information/live-travel-information/december-timetables

The information for the Hayes line reads:

All trains on the Hayes line will now go to London Charing Cross because we’ve reduced congestion at busy junctions to give better punctuality and fewer cancellations overall.

To do this, we needed to reduce the number of trains crossing one another at busy junctions. This means that our customers looking to travel to London Cannon Street will now need to change at London Bridge instead of travelling directly. Customers for St Johns and New Cross should change at Lewisham.

We know that for some of our customers this will be less convenient, and we’ve ensured that there are frequent connecting trains. For more detailed information about changing trains at London Bridge or Lewisham, download the leaflet for Hayes line customers (link here).

Representatives from the St. John’s Society will be attending the next Public Liaison Transport Committee in December and will make our voices heard to Southeastern.  The local councillors are mobilising to object to these changes and Vicky Foxcroft MP has also been made aware, but please do email them to add your name to the growing objection to these service cuts.  Please also submit comments directly to Southeastern via their online form.  We are currently arranging a petition against the removal of services.

We will post an update on this as we know more.
